If you’ve never heard of Juice Feasting, it’s basically exactly what you might have guessed it was. It consists of feasting on Juice. While many typically attempt a juice feast for a certain amount of time to lose weight, there are many other benefits of juice feasting to discover. A few of these benefits readily include:
- If you’re familiar with Water Fasting, Juice Feasting will give you all the same benefits but it’s healthier.
- Juice feasting heals, regenerates, and nourishes your entire body.
- Juice feasting will remove all of the toxins and irrelevant matter from your system.
- You can get much higher doses of fruits and vegetables by juice feasting than you would normally be able to eat.
- Juice feasting will minimize your body’s digestive efforts. The juices that you consume enable their nutrients to be absorbed into the blood stream within mere minutes.
- Raw juice contains no pulp or fiber, and is all about vitamins & minerals, active enzymes, and amino acids.
- While juice feasting you are able to conserve more energy for personal bodily healing.
- You’re able to improve your hormones, fertility, and menstrual cycle with juice feasting.
- During a juice feast your memory, concentration, and mental health will increase drastically.
These are only a few of the benefits of juice feasting, but they should be enough for you to at least be curious or give it a shot! For those who are interested, you’ve come to the right place. Veppo has put together a five day juice feast complete with recipes to get you started.
Day 1: Spinach, Orange and Banana Juice
For this sort of green citrusy frazzle dazzle juice you’ll want 1 large bag of baby organic spinach, including the stems, 4 whole oranges peeled, 1 cup of raspberries, ½ of a cup of ice, 2 bananas, and 1/3 of a cup of some sort of all fruit juice. 1/3 of a cup of water could work for this as well. What you’ll do is pack all of these ingredients together within your common household blender and run it on high for a full minute. Many juice enthusiasts enjoy this selection as a breakfast juice, and it’s a very simple and quick recipe.
Day 2: Parsley & Kale Juice
This recipe is a parsley, kale, apple, lemon, and ginger juice. To start you will use one apple, fully cored and cut; and if you prefer for your juices to be on the sweeter side you can substitute more apple in the mixture for kale. You will need 4 full kale leaves, preferably with their stems removed, and 15 chopped parsley stems. You’ll want to mince a bit of ginger to give the juice a little kick and warmth; and the final ingredient is ½ of a lemon with the rind removed. What you’ll do next is blend these ingredients together to whatever consistence you may personally prefer, but be sure that they are mixed well. This juice also may need to be strained due to the kale and apple fiber if you are using a blender and not a traditional juicer. This is a great afternoon/lunch or possibly even an awesome summer dinner concoction.
Day 3: Golden Juice
This juice is a golden, hearty beet and cantaloupe carrot mixture. You will need to quarter 2 medium (or large) golden beets, and you’ll want to peel them as well. If you are used to and enjoy the flavor of beets then you could even go so far as to use 4. Your 2 full cups of cantaloupe should have the seeds and rind fully removed, and they should be cut into cubes as well; over all you should be using about 1/4th of an entire small cantaloupe. The final ingredient will be 2 reasonably sized orange carrots, peeled. The ingredients for this juice, like the others, should be blended or juiced to your preferred consistency and mixed well. This is another juice that would be a splendid lunch or dinner option for just about any season.
Day 4: Ruby Red Juice
For a ruby red, and very sweet, juice you’ll use a 1 inch slice of ginger, a single carrot (peeled), 1/4th of a beet, 1/4th of a peeled grapefruit, 1/4th of a red tomato, 15 red grapes, 1 whole radish, a small and medium red apple, and 1/4th of a red bell pepper. Depending upon whether or not you’re using a blender or a juicer, you will want to make sure that these ingredients are chopped, quartered, and de-seeded accordingly. The rest is pretty basic like the other recipes, puree or blend to your preference and enjoy! This juice is very obviously a more sweeter and rich option than the others listed above, so it will most likely suit your sweet tooth – or be an after dinner dessert option within your juice feasting menu.
Day 5: Berry-Veggie Juice
Our final recipe is a tasty step outside of the box compared to the others. Get yourself 1 whole red cabbage, a single cup of fresh blueberries, and entire bag of seedless grapes, and 5 whole celery stalks. After rinsing all of your ingredients the cabbage should be cut into reasonable and manageable pieces for your juicer or blender. You’ll start by mixing/juicing the blueberries, the grapes, and the celery, and if you feel like the mixture is too thick simply add a little bit of water. Adding the cabbage pieces should be last, and if the juice is too strong for you adding more water can help with this as well.
Now, these are only a few of the many many juice feast recipes you’ll find all over the internet. The key to sticking to your juice feast is finding recipes and flavors that suit your personal needs, tastes, and what you would like to achieve as far as health improvement is concerned. Something that everyone should know about juice feasting is that preparation is very important; and one of the first things you’ll want to do is develop your fruits, vegetables, and equipment list to pick up all of the things you will need for your five days of feasting. A good and quality blender, or juicer, should be one of the things amongst your list if you do not own one already.
When you actually begin your feasting you’ll want to make and drink somewhere around four to five juices a day. Should you feel intense hunger pangs throughout the process do not entirely deny yourself small indulgences of HEALTHY snacks throughout the juice feast. Sugar snap peas, or perhaps half an avocado, some fresh fruits, or vegetables are often enough for those who are having difficulty eliminating solid foods altogether. Though you are juice feasting, keeping yourself hydrated is also important; so be sure to drink a lot of water and/or herbal tea throughout the process as well. Don’t forget that exercise and other forms of physical activity during your juice feast are important to help boost your metabolism, and many tend to aim for at least an hour a day to benefit from the results of a full juice feast program.
Now that we’ve been through the benefits, recipes, and process, get out there and juice it up! A juice feast is the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy your Veppo e-cigs, cigars, and never hesitate to keep up with us here at Veppo for the trendiest and most effective health improvement methods!
